COMEBA tanks can be supplied in skid-mounted roll-on/roll-off
versions or in a version designed for fixed installation on the lorry chassis,
for the transportation of bituminous emulsion from a production plant to
the workplace for subsequent application by means of a spray bar.
The tank provides bituminous emulsion heating or holding at the optimum
temperature, thanks to the presence of LPG or fuel oil fired burners, and
can also be supplied in an insulated version to limit heat loss.
Tanks are offered in various different capacities so that their size and
weight can be matched to the specification of the customer's lorry.
The spray application plant is composed of gear pumps of suitable capacity
for the spray bar to which they will be connected; the auxiliary diesel
engines driving the pumps are of a suitable power rating in the relation
to the requirements of the plant.
The critical part of the system, i.e. the power transmission section, is
fully hydraulic, thus offering a guarantee of reliability and a safe, trouble
free operation.
Application of the bituminous emulsion is executed by means of a spray bar
having varying functional characteristics, from a simple bar with a folding
type extension system, to sophisticated bars with hydraulically actuated
telescopic extension controlled directly from the lorry cab.
In the case of skid-mounted roll-on/roll-off tanks the bar is mounted on
a hydraulically operated pantograph mechanism and it remains attached to
the tank during roll-on and roll-off operations; on tanks in the approved
version for fixed installation on the lorry chassis, the bar can be secured
to the lorry and positioned for the maximum practicality of use, for the
coverage of small surface areas the tank is also equipped with a hand lance.
COMEBA tanks system is a facilitated bituminous application
operation because the pump start and lift command, and the other main functions
are accessible directly from a control pendant that can be used either on
the ground or arranged in the cab alongside the driver; alternatively the
system can be supplied with a fixed panel in the lorry cab.
Several accessories are available to complete the already generous range
of components mounted on the tank; for example: hot galvanised steel water
tank complete with transfer pump and hydraulic operation; emulsion recirculation
system;" ecological " cleaning system with recovery of contaminated
detergent ( diesel fuel or other types ), thus avoiding the need to discharge
contaminated liquid with the resulting environmental damage and pollution;
approved type tanks containing diesel for refuelling purposes, and numerous
additional solutions to facilitate operations in the workplace and increase
the speed and profitability of your work.
